In 2018 the multinational Hanergy Holding Group Ltd. a leader in solar energy with thin-film technology, together with a local solar project developer partner, realized the first installation of solar roof tiles in Sweden. 

The project has an installed capacity of 35 kW to supply 5 residential villas.

Hantile is the latest application of high-efficiency thin-film cells for roofing, utilizing the visible surface of a curved solar tile to get the most out of a roof under varying circumstances such as high winds, rain, or even hail resistance. 

Each tile has an output of 30 watts, which generates 105 watts per square meter of roof. The solar tiles are capable of generating electrical energy in a variable range of temperatures and at high humidities.

Hantile has reliable waterproofing and ventilation structures that are excellent in performance and long life. 

Finally, the entire visible surface of a curved solar tile can be efficiently utilized, allowing the maximum performance of a tile roof to be obtained. Under all circumstances, and different angles of solar incidence.
